FreeCell is one of Vesper Solitaire's three games, on Vesper's twilight table. Every card is dealt face up, so it's a game of pure planning, not luck. Play it free in your browser on a phone, a tablet or a computer, with nothing to download and no account to make. Every deal you're given can be won: each one has been played through to a win before it reaches you.

How to play FreeCell

The goal is to build four piles, one for each suit, from ace up to king. All 52 cards start face up in eight columns.

• In the columns, stack cards in descending order with alternating colors: a red 9 goes on a black 10.
• The four free cells in the top left each hold one card, to park a card while you dig.
• Any card can go into an empty column.
• You can move several cards at once when there's room to have done it one card at a time: more free cells and empty columns mean longer moves.
• Cards that nothing else could need go up to their piles by themselves.

Tips

Free the aces and twos first. Use free cells sparingly, since a full set of them leaves you stuck, and treat an empty column as gold. Undo is unlimited, and Hint shows you a move when you're stuck.
